Belong. Believe. Become.
Our mission is to show children they BELONG to God and His kingdom,
to teach them as they come to BELIEVE in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior,
and to guide them to BECOME like Jesus and walk in His ways through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Hope Kids is a place where the truth of God's story and His great love for us comes alive!
Each week kids experience an important Bible truth in a dynamic way -
which makes it easy for them to remember and apply to real life!
Children in Kindergarten through 5th grade begin worship with their parents and are excused to Hope Kids during the Sermon. After a game or craft, our kindergarten through fifth grade students hear about God's love through an interactive Bible lesson, followed by a time of discussion, allowing children to ask questions and make personal connections.

Child Safety
In order to protect the children of Hope Kids during the kindergarten through fifth grade program, we at Hope provide the following safety and security measures.
Check-in/Check-out System
When children are brought to our Hope Kids classrooms, parents of visitors complete a brief child information form. This provides us with contact information for parents/caregivers, notices of allergies, and space for families to share any special needs their child may have.
Each Sunday parents/caregivers of visiting children are provided with a clip-on nametag that matches the color of their child’s name tag. The colored nametag must be returned by the same parent/caregiver at the end of service in order to pick up their child. This helps ensure security and safety for all kids in our program.
Child Protection Policy
Hope Church has a comprehensive Child Protection Policy. All of the servers who work with children in Hope Kids have gone through a rigorous approval process. This includes a background check, application with references, and personal interview. These servers follow our Child Protection Policy as they supervise children in any and all Hope Kids events. If you are interested in more information about our Child Protection Policy, please contact Erin Clark ErinClark@hopechurchcl.org.
Safe and Clean Facilities
We maintain age-appropriate classrooms that keep safety in mind at all times. We also ask that families assist us in our mission to provide safe environments by not bringing children to Hope Kids who are ill and contagious. If you’re too sick for school, then you’re too sick for Hope Kids. Just make sure to come back next week once you’re feeling better!
Bathroom Practices
We prefer that parents escort their child to the bathroom before dropping them off at Hope Kids. If a child in our kindergarten through fifth grade Hope Kids classroom needs to use the bathroom during service, we may ask a parent to leave the service to escort their child. If available, the child will be escorted to the bathroom in the presence of 2 adults. The child will enter and use the bathroom alone, and then safely be escorted back to their classroom. Any child requiring assistance will need to have their parent/caregiver help, and they will be contacted via text message at the number provided during check-in.
